A broken side window is urgent in a way a cracked windshield isn't. The car is open. So the priority is closing the car today. Most side and rear windows we replace are back together inside an hour, and the glass for common Bronx cars is already on the shelf rather than on a truck somewhere. Rear glass takes longer than a door window because of the defroster grid and, on some cars, an antenna printed into the panel.
