We work on Whitestone, College Point, Flushing and Bayside cars every day from 2080 Jerome Avenue, twenty-five to thirty-five minutes over the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge. Chip repair takes about thirty minutes and runs $60 to $130. Door, quarter and back glass replacement runs $200 to $500, usually same day, and the mobile van can cross instead of you.

Two bridges connect northern Queens to us, and both are cashless, so the crossing gets billed to your plate whether you think about it or not. That is the one cost we cannot quote you. Everything else we can. Call with the year, make, model and what broke, and the figure you hear is the figure you pay when you sign for the car. Nothing shows up at pickup that was not said on the phone. Drivers from Whitestone and Bayside tell us they rang around first and we came in under the rest, which is the only reason crossing water for glass is worth doing.
Because the shop runs seven days from early to late, the trip is easier to plan than it looks. Go at six on a Sunday morning and the Whitestone is empty. Come after a night shift and the Cross Island is clear. Most side windows are done while you wait, so you cross once and it is over. If you would rather not cross at all, the van comes to you at in-shop pricing with no trip fee, and the toll stays on our side. Driveways in Whitestone and Bayside are ideal for that.
Northern Queens is four different parking situations inside one service area. Whitestone and Bayside are house blocks with driveways and garages, so a car can sit still for an hour and nobody minds. College Point mixes homes with light industry down toward the water off 20th Avenue. Flushing is the opposite of all of it: dense, permanently full, and no place to hunt for a curb space with a broken window taped over. Francis Lewis Boulevard and Northern Boulevard carry the long local runs, the Cross Island Parkway rings the shoreline, the Whitestone Expressway feeds both bridges, and Utopia Parkway takes a steady school and neighborhood flow. Coming to us, the Bronx-Whitestone is usually quicker than the Throgs Neck, but check first, because when one span backs up the other often does not.
“In 7:30am with broken window, out with new window and vacuumed car at 8:01am. Great price so gave a good tip ahead of time. Good work. 2 thumbs up.”
Bridge approaches are where most northern Queens windshields get hit. The Whitestone Expressway and the ramps climbing to both spans are expansion joints, steel plates and patched concrete, and traffic there accelerates and brakes in bunches, which flings whatever is loose straight at the car behind. The Cross Island Parkway adds sand and branch litter along its shoreline stretch. Salt is the slower problem: with the East River on one side and the Sound on the other, cars parked outside in College Point and Whitestone corrode at the pinch weld, and once the urethane bond lets go at a corner you hear wind noise long before you see water. Bayside gets a different version, with tree-lined blocks dropping acorns and limbs on parked cars all through the fall.
Whitestone and College Point drivers take the Whitestone Expressway onto the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, then the Cross Bronx west and off at Jerome Avenue, about twenty-five minutes when the span cooperates. Out of Bayside, the Cross Island Parkway north to the Throgs Neck Bridge and the Bruckner over to the Cross Bronx puts you here in thirty to thirty-five. Both crossings bill by plate, so it is worth paying that once rather than twice, which is the argument for the mobile van. When we come to you, we cross on our own dime and the invoice matches the quote you were given before the van left Jerome Avenue.
Papa Auto Glass works across Bronx and the surrounding towns — pick your neighborhood:
You do, and it hits your plate at the gantry, since the Bronx-Whitestone and the Throgs Neck are both cashless. We cannot quote that part because it is not ours to charge. Everything on our invoice is what you were told on the phone, with nothing added at the counter. Book the mobile van instead and we cross to you, with the toll staying on our side of the ledger.
No. Static target calibration needs the targets, the level floor and the measured distances we keep at Jerome Avenue, so that one means a trip over the bridge. Plenty of cars only need a dynamic calibration, which we finish on the road once the glass has set, and that we can handle in Bayside. Give us the year and model and we will tell you which one applies.
Tell us that up front and we will plan for it. The van needs a legal spot with room on the working side, and plenty of blocks near Flushing cannot offer that. If you have a driveway, a garage bay or a quiet side street over in College Point, we will meet you there instead. Otherwise driving over is genuinely faster, and most side windows are done while you wait.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
