The Cross Bronx Expressway cuts straight through this neighborhood, and the ramps feeding it are where most of the damage we see begins. You stay under the elevated tracks the whole way, past the 176th Street station, and we are a few blocks up on the right, just short of West Burnside Avenue. Coming from the western half of the neighborhood, West Tremont Avenue drops you onto Jerome the same way. If you are already on the Cross Bronx, get off at Jerome and keep going north. Five minutes clear, maybe eight around school pickup.
